Kaleigh Wadeson

K.L. Wadeson

Kaleigh Wadeson was born in Grahamstown, South Africa in 1992. Four years later her family traded one small town for another relocating to Hilton in the Kwa-Zulu Natal Province. Growing up in the South African Midlands Kaleigh was surrounded by two of her favourite things, animals and the outdoors. She spent many happy afternoons as a teenager, horseback riding at local farms and volunteering at a local wildlife sanctuary. Kaleigh and her family lived contentedly on ‘the hill’ for the next thirteen years, until they once again made a leap.

This time they crossed an ocean on a more permanent adventure, as they made the move to the United Kingdom. For all her love and passion for the great outdoors, Kaleigh also grew up loving nothing more than to curl up with a good book. As a teenager she began putting pen to paper, using poetic verse as an outlet for all her emotional turmoil. After becoming a mother, Kaleigh once again began using poetry as a catharsis but this time she began writing her poems as stories aimed at and inspired by her young son.

Kaleigh now lives with her fiance and her son in yet another small town, in Surrey in the United Kingdom. She can often be found out on a walk in the sunshine, though just as often, curled in bed with a new book or tapping at her keyboard, always on some sort of adventure.
